Whats the worst car you have had?

On the spur of the moment I bought a Saab 9000 at an Auction years ago, only 4 years old, top of the range turbo charged model with all the trimmings, was well pleased and thought I had a bargain!
Went ok for about 6 weeks then the trouble started......problem with the transmission, couple of grand to fix, then the turbo charger started playing up, fuck me that was expensive, then the air conditioning would only blow hot air, the heated seats wouldn’t turn off.
Cunt of a thing cost me a fortune at the time and ended up putting it back through the Auctions less than a year later as the mechanic rekoned it had more problems with suspension, didn’t lose much on the sale price but felt sorry for the poor cunt that bought it.
Who ever got it new must have driven it like a lunatic!!!!

A Scirocco Storm Mk1.
Was my worst car but also my favourite. I always liked them when i was a kid so when i was 18, i had to find one with the leather seats, spoiler etc... Had rust in the wings, inner wings, door skins and rear arches but i had all that replaced and a bare metal respray and it looked beautiful. Then it started breaking down all the time. The AA towed me home a few times and if i wanted petrol, id' have to go out 2 hours beforehand and fill up. Then walk back to collect it 2 hours later as it would not start.
Some VW Porshe specialist said it needed a new fuel pump, injectors and metering unit but wanted nearly 2k to do it which at the time to me was too much.
In the end, my old man fitted a fuel pump from an XR3I to it and told me to sell it asap. The indicators stopped working an the clutch cable snapped on a test drive but it eventually sold.
I saw the guy i sold it to 3 years later and half expected him to be angry with me but he could not have been more friendly. Said he had 3 years of trouble free motoring with it and was the best car he's ever had!
I'd love one now but try and find one. Well one that's decent. There's hardly any left.

Fiat Coupe 20v turbo. Looked sporty and different, Pininfarina interior, 0-60 in 6.3 seconds. Best value for money for a performance coupe back in the day.
Fix it again Tomorrow. Every part had to wait to get from Italy. Brand new yet in first year had done my nuts on repairs.
It was a cunt.
Biggest regret purchase ever.
Will only ever drive an E class Mercedes or SL500. Years running and no problems.

One of the oddest cars I had briefly (I think it was a pool car), was a Renault 19 Turbo. This would have been when turbos were still relatively new things in cars.
The power delivery was the worst I can remember. You put your foot down on the accelerator and virtually nothing happened. Then the revs increased until it hit the turbo power range and it took off like a rocket. Then after a short period you ran out of turbo power and it stopped accelerating as if you had actually braked.
Very strange to drive.

Our family car about 4 years ago was a Vauxhall Zafira. I hated that “car” with all my being. A milk float would have been better.

Ive got BMW 320d it a real workhorse its no wonder want rid of this market , 2 l diesel cars just beasts. So I bought an x3 , totally different engine in fact BMW mechanic told me its Renault and is absolutely dreadful car. Every issue imaginable do not ever get an x3 in 31 years if owning cars this was not as good and reliable as my old Viva.

I had a 2 litre Triumph Vitesse,went like stink in a straight line but went round corners like a pig on roller skates...didn't own it for long...

Bruno, Mine was a 2006 turbo diesel bought new. Rapid for the year and comfortable, but in 3 years had a new half engine when the water pump failed, alternator, fuel pump and sundry other bits and bobs
Both myself and the guy who bought it from me loved the individuality that set it apart from BMW and Audi and it really was a great drivers car
Always serviced on the nail by Saab and in fairness when he chopped it in it had done 165,000 miles

One of my jobs was driver at a Jaguar garage. Great fun delivering new Jags around the county. Driving part exes back to the garage. Worst was Lotus Esprit Turbo. Felt every bump on the road, turbo whistling behind my left ear. Very quick but a shit bag of a car. Delivered a XJS to Stansted Mountfichet and his part ex was a Porsche Carrera. Bit like the Lotus fucking quick but felt every bump in the road. Pedals were shite, so upright hurt your ankles after lots of gear changing. Best drive was V12 XJS.Smooth comfortable and easy to drive. Watch out for the handbrake though. Can easily fuck it up as when you pulled up the handle it flopped down as if it was off!

Honda's can't be bettered for reliability.had a couple of crv's,brilliant cars and great for long journeys with kids.The kids are now grown up and as a result don't require quite as much room so have just purchased a Honda HR-V ,well please with it,although not much to look at peace of mind knowing fuck all will go wrong with it for the foreseable future.

I also had a fiat strada,a piece of shit.
It was always touch and go if it decided to start or not a truly terrible car.
I'm not really into cars,never been my thing.Been a Honda driver for the last 15 years,bullet proof.

Just make sure you get one with a solid service history, check the MOT history on the DVLA site and have a good test drive.
If you like it then buy it.
As long as the previous owners have treated the car well you will be OK.

The 3K thing is bollocks.
The old engines that powered the 900 and 9000 were advised for 6k changes but it was not strictly necessary especially if you (like I did) went for a turbo upgrade and remap.
Second generation 93s can go on long interval oil changes like any other car of the time.

Go for the post 2005 version.
The ones before that were weak chassis wise.
I bought a 2007 convertible last week as fun car. Full service book of stamps, perfect MOT history and it is the full fat Aero. Astonishingly everything works. It was bloody cheap too. Did find out on Wednesday that the roof leaks but a reproofing will sort that.
If nothing else I can sell it for what I bought it.
